Time after time I witness Loan Officers complain about rates, a loan product their company doesn’t have that someone else does, turn times, compliance, and even compensation. Yet many of these same people invest little to no time, effort, or money into improving their skills, capabilities, systems or the experience for their customers to make all those things nearly irrelevant.
If you are truly committed to being an expert…a professional at your craft…you would be working ON your business nearly as much as you are working IN your business.
If you are truly sick and tired of being treated as a commodity and being viewed by the customer as no different than the next lender who quotes a cheaper rate, then it’s time to get to work.
If you are truly committed to changing your future for the better:
- You would block out time to craft a world-class experience for your customer that they rave about and tell everyone about.
- You would spend time THINKING about the biggest struggles your referral partners face and strategies to help solve them in a unique way.
- You would invest in tools and resources that give you an advantage when fighting over a client.
I can go on and on here…but the challenge is to you: how committed are you to being the best? To building such a unique value proposition that people flock to you to do business?
If you are committed, do you have the courage to think, talk, and act differently than everyone else “appearing” to offer the same thing you offer?
Only once you are 100% committed, and possess the necessary courage, will you fully embrace what it takes to differentiate and stand out from all others in your marketplace. Once you do, you’ll find a peace that you didn’t know existed in this business. I’ve found it. A few others have too. Seek out the guidance and commit fully. Nothing else is as important as building a business that ATTRACTS people and is easier, more profitable and filled with purpose.
